Codium & MyCraftShoppe Tasks
1. Lectures:

3. Codium Lab & MyCraftShoppe
Mr Asrizal introduced us to Codium and their clients. We grouped up and picked one of their clients. My group picked out MyCraftShoppe which is an eCommerce business that sells local handicrafts and materials. For our first task, we had to prepare an introduction with some analysis and breakdowns. We presented this to the Codium team at their office in Jaya One.

Next, we were told to work on an analysis of TikTok and how brands are using it to expand their customer bases.

The Codium team really liked our presentation and mentioned that it was quite comprehensive and useful for MyCraftShoppe. We then moved on to content planning. In our group, we had to design 4 weeks' worth of content to be posted on MyCraftShoppe's social media in June. Their theme was Love Local so we had to keep that in mind.

The team was quite happy with our ideas and said that they will be able to use most of them. Since we didn't have to plan any more content, we were tasked to come up with some ideas that could be used by MyCraftShoppe in an upcoming photo shoot.

After we submitted our ideas we were asked to make a few TikToks for them.

We were then asked to go to Jaya One and shoot some TikToks using products from MCS and also plan out the content for July where the theme is Batik.

4. Feedback:
Introduction Presentation: The team liked our in-depth research on MyCraftShoppe. They also liked that we analysed our competitors. They said we could improve if we did a SWOT analysis of MCS the way we did for the competitors. Overall, it went well and since it was our first time there it was quite okay.
TikTok Presentation: The team liked the presentation and said it was well researched.
Content Calendar: Our content ideas were improved by the MCS team for June. They mentioned they liked how we included examples of the visuals.
Fashion Photoshoot: The MCS team said that they did use some elements of our ideas but unfortunately we weren't able to go to the shoot so we couldn't see it. We did get to see the results and it looked really nice.
TikTok Videos: The MCS team liked our videos and told us that they would most likely get approved by the MyCraftShopee HQ and then posted.
5. Reflection:
Experience: Working for Codium and MCS was a first taste of what it will be like working for a professional creative agency. It was definitely a very nice experience and I'm glad we got the opportunity to go outside the classroom and see the more practical side of things. It was nice to have a module that wasn't just strictly lecture and design.
Observations: When we went to the Codium office in Jaya One we got to observe the workings of a proper office atmosphere. We got to see how they plan out their content, how it is approved and then designed. They showed us the software and programs they use to keep track of their team and work. Overall, it was really interesting to observe how an agency like Codium works to improve the brand experiences of the customers.
Findings: I found that I was a bit apprehensive when Mr Asrizal first introduced Codium to us. I had not done anything like this before so I was a bit nervous to see what we would be expected to do. The fact that we had to work with a real company with real clients and not just a university assignment was pretty scary but it turned out to be okay. We worked hard and I'm glad the team appreciated our efforts!
