Project #2
Project #2:
For this project, we had to create an interactive filter on Spark AR. It should be inspired by something a brand could probably use.
I had a few ideas, but I wanted the filter to be a bit more subtle since people on Instagram/Facebook would be more likely to use a filter that's kind of aesthetic. I brainstormed a few ideas.

I liked the elements idea and patterns so I decided to sketch out some ideas in Procreate. In Procreate you can actually see your face as a reference while you try so that was interesting.

However, when I imported these to Spark AR they became distorted. Then Mr Razif showed us how to use the mask template. I downloaded that and redid it using the new mask format so it would not look weird when imported.
I changed the designs a little to suit the face shape a bit better.

This worked much better so I did all my other elements using this template.

I designed some icons as well for the options buttons

Next, I uploaded all my designs to Spark AR and added the UI Picker function.

After compiling it together, I recorded my video for submission.

Feedback:
Week #9: Mr Razif showed us around Spark AR and introduced us to the very basics of the software and how to use it.
Week #10: Mr Razif experimented a little bit with the UI Picker option. He showed us how we could add options and interactivity to our filters.
Reflection:
Week #9: I think this project has a very cool real-world application. Instagram filters are super popular and it would be cool to design one.
Week #10: The sort of "coding" aspect of Spark AR is kind of confusing to understand. Like the patch part and all. I had to watch quite a lot of YouTube videos to understand what was going on.
Week #11: I think my idea is a little simple but I kind of wanted to create a filter that I would use and actually post on my story which would help with a brands popularity.
