Final Reflection:

This module has been quite a journey, not a smooth one but definitely a rewarding one. When this module started I was as usual worried and afraid. Questions like What if I never find a topic I like? What difference will my topic make in the long run? swarmed in my mind. Nevertheless, with the endless help and guidance of Dr Jinchi, I managed to actually discover an issue that I was passionate about and would enjoy writing and researching about. My biggest hurdle in this module was the Research Implementation assignment. I was panicked and confused about it because I was not clear on what I wanted. When an organisation replied to my interview request, I realised I did not even know what I wanted from the interview from them. That was quite a scary experience, to not know what you're doing suddenly. But of course, Dr Jinchi pushed me into the direction I needed to take and I managed to redraw my interview protocol to something that would actually benefit my research.

I have learnt a lot about researching. A lot. Which is exactly what the module is supposed to be. With the guidance of Dr Hayati as well, I have come close to mastering secondary research methods and citations. I was often surprised to find myself enjoying the process of researching and writing. To be able to express my views and opinions on something I am passionate about is a great experience and I look forward to the challenges semester 4 will bring when I start to actually write my dissertation.

Thank you, Dr Jinchi and Dr Hayati.
