Lectures:

Week #1: This week was a short lecture and an introduction to the module. Mr Shamsul introduced us to the other lecturer, Mr Lun who will also be assisting us. Then we went through the Module Information Booklet to get an overview of how the rest of the semester is going to be planned out.

Week #2: This week we were taught about good websites and bad websites. Mr Shamsul told us about how to determine whether a website is good or bad through various factors. This is known as basic site evaluation and will help us create better websites. We were given the task to find 4 bad websites and 4 good websites and then discuss what made them good or bad.

Feedback:

Week #1: No work submitted

Week #2: Mr Shamsul said our evaluations were good and thorough. He and Mr Lun also mentioned that our observations and findings were correct and that our determination of good and bad websites was accurate

Week #9: Submitted layout exercise. No feedback given yet.

Reflection:

Week #1: I am a bit nervous about this module since I pretty much know nothing about coding. Mr Shamsul mentioned that we will start with simpler coding and then advance, so that is assuring but also scary. Luckily there are endless resources on the internet to help and Mr Shamsul actually advised us to learn outside of class too since it is a slightly difficult and complicated subject

Week #2: This week's class was actually quite interesting. Evaluating all the different websites in groups was fun and we got to see lots of different kinds of websites. It's interesting to see that sometimes if a website is too aesthetic it will be too reliant on JavaScript which can result in it crashing or lagging for some people.

Week #9: The layout exercise was really annoying and frustrating to do. I didn't understand much and it was not responsive. I guess that's the hard part of coding and interactive design. I will keep learning and watching youtube videos to learn
