Project #2B
Lectures:
Mr. Vinod and Mr. Shamsul looked over work for Project 2A and gave us the brief for Project 2B. Some important notes for our posters:
- Must be impactful
- Use up at least 3/4th of space
- Have text expression and formatting

Project 2B:
For this project we have to create a poster and then later animate it. My chosen phrase is "Only dead fish go with the flow" by Andy Hunt.
Fig 1.1: First draft
After showing this to Mr. Vinod he said that the poster didn't have one focus point and the expression wasn't too good either. I tried a few other ideas.
Fig 1.2: Other drafts
Mr. Vinod liked the middle idea and said that I should improve on the design and make it more poster like. I looked at some inspiration on the Pinterest board Mr. Vinod had provided.

I came up with this, the dead fish is flipped upside down as a reference to how fish appear when they die.

Now I had to animate it into a GIF.
Fig 1.7: GIF attempt #1
Mr. Vinod suggested I reduce the amount of movement to make it more of a stagnant floating style.

Feedback:
W11-13: Mr. Vinod said he liked the idea of the upside down dead fish as my type expression. I also received feedback from Mr. Shamsul regarding my GIF. They both agreed that the movement wasn't the most appropriate considering my type expression and hence I had to change it to make it look like it was floating a little.
Reflection:
I think this assignment really did make me use and apply all the knowledge from previous projects and exercises. It was a bit challenging but I think with every project/exercise in Typography I always tend to learn a lot.

I continued reading the elements of typographic style. I took screenshots of some interesting and useful information.
